Dr. Adams is a clinical psychologist specializing in evidence-based treatments for a range of psychological concerns. Laura’s approach is warm, genuine, and tailored to the goals of each individual. With over ten years of clinical, research, and teaching experience, Laura applies principles that address core problems toward improving quality of life and well-being.

Dr. Adams received her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University and her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Boston University. She trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School, Mindfulness-Based Treatments at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at Boston University’s Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD). In addition, Laura has conducted research at Massachusetts General Hospital, Columbia University Medical Center, and Boston University’s Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences.

Dr. Adams works with adults and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment, and relationship concerns. Laura has received numerous awards for her scholarship and has presented her research frequently at national conferences. Laura has co-authored peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on topics such as mindfulness, affective symptomatology, and maternal psychology. Laura is passionate about helping individuals come into greater contact with their authentic selves, supporting a life full of depth, meaning, and joy.
